Casa Salina is the kind of place you keep talking about months later, at dinner, when someone asks: where did you go this summer? Because nothing extraordinary happens here, and yet everything happens: the morning coffee on the patio, the pool water slowly warming under the Sicilian sun, the scent of the vegetable garden early in the morning, the true silence of the Iblean countryside interrupted only by the wind through the olive trees.

A careful architectural project by Viviana Pitrolo and Francesco Puglisi has brought this 19th-century rural baglio back to life in Contrada Passo Salina, a stone's throw from Scicli. Four double bedrooms, each named after a historic salt pan of the world: Tavira, Paceco, Guérande, Alaea. Each with its own personality.

The Spaces
Outside is the garden with the vegetable patch, the heated infinity pool with salt electrolysis (crystal clear water, zero chlorine, very sweet on the skin), and the jacuzzi with hydromassage and integrated stereo system. The outdoor dining area on July evenings is the most beautiful place to be. Inside you will find a 4K home cinema, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large living room with a fireplace, where the evening ends late with a glass of Nero d'Avola and no rush to go to bed.
